Problem

Despite a strong operational presence, Miller Electric struggled to engage its field employees and effectively communicate their contributions, both internally and externally. Many employees didn’t engage with company emails or social media, creating a barrier to recognition and connection. For a new strategy to foster a stronger sense of company pride and culture, highlight employee accomplishments and improve engagement, they turned to OBI Creative.

Approach

OBI developed a comprehensive social media strategy for Miller Electric to showcase its field employees and behind-the-scenes efforts, highlighting their contributions to ongoing projects. By encouraging and facilitating employee-generated content like worker-submitted photos and stories, OBI helped drastically increase participation. The content was shared across multiple channels — LinkedIn, Facebook and internal platforms — to reach a broad audience both internally and externally, amplifying Miller’s message. Emphasis was placed on long-term projects, like those at Bergan and 3M, reinforcing Miller Electric’s commitment to continuous, impactful work.
