OBI Creative Announces Move to New Location

The Omaha-based advertising agency
will be moving to a new office space in Omaha.

 

OMAHA, (Neb.) OBI Creative, a research-based, innovation-driven advertising agency, announces a major investment in the region: its new Omaha home in the Lumberyard District.

Because of its rapid growth, OBI Creative is moving from its current Midtown Crossing location to the Lumberyard District later this year. The new “hot spot of old downtown Millard,” as it has been referred to, caught the eye of OBI president and CEO Mary Ann O’Brien when she began looking for new space.

“We’re literally out of space at our current office at 29th and Farnam. When I saw the development Chris and Jason (Lanoha) were offering on the site of the old Millard Lumberyard, I was blown away. It seemed like Dundee or Benson – only ten minutes away from where most of our employees live,” said O’Brien.

The multi-use district with commercial tenants, residential apartments and established businesses such as the landmark Millard Roadhouse restaurant and Olympia Cycle, offers a blend of new and old that OBI was seeking in its new home.

“We looked at a lot of buildings,” said Lana LeGrand, vice president of leadership at OBI. “But when we saw this area, not just the potential of the office space, but the vibe of the neighborhood, we felt we had found a location where our employees would thrive and our clients would love to visit.”

Coworkers liked the windows, natural light, the area’s green spaces, proximity to a biking and walking trail and the old brick road that runs through the neighborhood.

“One of the most attractive things about the Lumberyard District is that it’s a new development — a revitalization of an area we are really proud to be a part of,” said LeGrand.

OBI will occupy approximately 10,500 square feet of space as the anchor tenant in the building located at 135th and Millard Avenue. OBI anticipates moving into the space in 2018.
